The Threads page is where all your conversations with creators live. Once a creator is added to a project, you can reach out to them directly via Instagram, WhatsApp, email, or TikTok without leaving the platform. Every message is logged in one place, giving your team a full view of all creator communication.
Channels
Instagram. Reach creators via Instagram DM. If the creator doesn't reply within 24 hours, you won't be able to message again from Scoop until they respond.
WhatsApp. Send messages, deals, and automated project updates to a creator's WhatsApp. The same 24-hour rule applies.
Email. Scoop auto-generates an outreach email from your project context, which you can edit before it goes out. No response window restrictions.
TikTok. Reach creators via TikTok direct message. A dedicated step-by-step for TikTok is coming soon.
Switching channels
You can switch channels at any point in a conversation. When you do, you'll see a note on the Thread indicating which channel the conversation was previously on. All messages across every channel appear together on the Threads page.
Sending a message on Instagram
Instagram DMs work slightly differently from other channels for the first message, but once a conversation is open, everything runs through Scoop.
Before you start:
Your Instagram account is connected to Scoop
The creator has been added to a project
Before you start:
Open the creator's Thread. Go to the Threads page and you'll see a Send a DM option. Click it to get started.
Connect Instagram (if not connected). If your account isn't linked yet, you'll see a Connect prompt. Click Connect and authorise Scoop to access your account. You only need to do this once.
Send the first message. Scoop drafts an opening message based on the project. Click Regenerate if you'd like a different version. The first message has to go out from Instagram directly. Choose one of these options:
Copy & Send DM copies the draft and opens the creator's Instagram DM with the message pre-filled. Hit Send.
Open Instagram opens the creator's DM without copying the message.
Charges may apply per message sent via Instagram. 4. Continue from Scoop. Once the first message is sent, all follow-up messages can be sent directly from Scoop. No need to go back to Instagram.
If the creator doesn't reply within 24 hours, you won't be able to send another message from Scoop until they respond. You can still reach them by messaging directly from Instagram. Once they reply, the Scoop Thread picks back up automatically.
Moving this conversation to another channel
Open the Thread and select the channel you want to move to. A note will appear showing that the conversation was previously on Instagram.
Moving a conversation from another channel to Instagram
Open the Thread and select Instagram as the channel. You'll see a note that the conversation is moving from its previous channel. The first message still needs to go out manually from the app. Use Copy & Send DM to paste it into the creator's Instagram DM, then hit Send from there.
Sending a message on WhatsApp
Reach creators via WhatsApp directly from the Threads page. Once a creator responds, you can message freely through Scoop.
Before you start:
☐ Your WhatsApp account is verified and connected to Scoop (verification is a one-time step done by the Scoop team)
☐ The creator's WhatsApp number has been added
WhatsApp requires pre-approved message templates for first outreach. This is a platform rule.
Add the creator's number. Open the creator's Thread. If their number hasn't been added, Scoop will prompt you to enter it.
Choose your opening message. Pick from three pre-filled templates:
Explore a collab is a warm intro expressing interest in working together. Best for first-time outreach.
Send a deal lets you attach and send a deal directly. Use this when you're ready to share the specifics.
Show interest is a lighter, casual message with no project attached. Good for warming up a creator before pitching.
Send and wait for a reply. The creator receives the message and can respond via action buttons. Once they reply, both sides can message freely through Scoop. Stickers and voice notes aren't supported — text only.
If the creator doesn't reply within 24 hours, you won't be able to send another message from Scoop until they respond. The creator can reply at any time — there's no restriction on their end. While waiting, you can switch to Instagram or email.
Restarting the conversation after no response
If the creator hasn't replied, you can send a nudge, a pre-filled follow-up message from the Thread. Nudges can be sent once every three days. If the creator still hasn't replied, wait out the three-day interval or switch to a different channel.
Moving this conversation to another channel
Open the Thread and select the channel you want to move to. A note will appear showing that the conversation was previously on WhatsApp.
Moving a conversation from another channel to WhatsApp
Open the Thread and select WhatsApp as the channel. You'll see a note that the conversation is moving from its previous channel. Since WhatsApp requires a template for the first message, you'll be prompted to choose from Explore a collab, Send a deal, or Show interest before anything goes out.
Sending an email to a creator
Before you start, make sure your email account is connected to Scoop. You'll also need the creator's email address. If it's already on their profile, you'll see a small email icon next to their name. If there's no icon, go to the Threads page, click Add email, and enter their address before proceeding.
Open the creator's Thread and select email as your channel. Scoop will generate an outreach email based on your project.
Review the draft. The email comes pre-filled with everything it needs:
To is the creator's email address
From is your connected email address
Subject is generated from the project context
Body is a personalised message with project details
Edit if needed. You can change any part of the draft before it goes out.
Schedule and send. Set a send time and confirm. Scoop times every brand-sent message to the creator's local timezone so it lands between 8 am and 8 pm in their location.
Sending a deal via email
Open the email draft and attach a deal before scheduling. When included, the deal appears as a card or link in the email, making it easy for the creator to review the brief, deliverables, and terms directly from their inbox.
Moving a conversation from another channel to email
If a conversation starts on Instagram or WhatsApp, open the Thread and select email as the channel. You'll see a note that the conversation is moving from its previous channel. Scoop will generate an email draft which you can edit before scheduling.
