What notifications does Scoop send me?

Scoop sends you notifications so you know when something needs your attention without having to camp inside the app. You get them in two channels (in-app and email), you can tune what comes through each channel, and clicking a notification takes you straight to the relevant screen.

In-app notifications

In the top-right of the app, you'll see a bell icon. Clicking it opens your notification feed.

The feed shows recent events that affect you: creators replying to your outreach, drafts submitted for review, deals accepted, payments coming due, and more. Notifications are grouped by project or creator so you can see related activity in one block instead of fifteen separate rows.

In-app notifications arrive in real time. You don't need to refresh the page; the feed updates automatically when something happens. If a creator replies to your message while you're in another part of the app, the bell will surface a new count immediately.

Clicking any notification takes you directly to the related screen: the deal thread, the draft review page, the payment milestone, whatever the notification is about. You don't have to hunt.

Email notifications

You also get email notifications for important events. By default you'll receive emails for things like:

  • Deal accepted by a creator

  • Counter-offer received

  • Draft submitted for review

  • Content published and verified

  • Payment overdue

  • Public Invite Link applications waiting for review

  • A teammate accepting an invite

Email notifications include enough context that you can decide whether to act immediately. They also link straight back into Scoop, so one click gets you to the right screen.

Notification preferences

In your account settings, you'll find a notification preferences page. There you can pick, for each event type, whether you want to be notified by:

  • In-app only

  • Email only

  • Both

  • Neither

This lets you reduce noise based on how you actually work. If you live in your email inbox, you can switch most things to email-only. If you're already in Scoop all day, you can mute most emails and rely on the bell.

A few events are email-only by design (typically account- and team-level changes like a teammate being added, a Shopify connection breaking, or a security event). These don't get a toggle because you need a permanent record of them.

Notification grouping

When a lot of activity hits a single creator or project, Scoop groups it. Instead of getting twenty separate "comment posted" notifications, you'll see one row saying "20 comments on this draft" that expands when you click. This keeps the feed scannable even on heavy days.

Grouping happens both in-app and in some email digests for high-volume events.

When notifications aren't enough

If you're approaching launch and want to monitor activity more actively, open the relevant project's dashboard. The dashboard gives you a live view of every deal's status, every payment due, and every piece of content out for review, all in one place. The notifications system is built for catching things; the dashboard is built for managing them.

Tips for managing notifications

  • Set preferences early. Spend two minutes in your notification settings the first day. Most regrets about notifications come from never tuning them.

  • Don't mute deal acceptance or draft submission. These are time-sensitive and ignoring them costs you in creator goodwill.

  • Use grouping to your advantage. If you see twenty notifications on one creator, scan the group instead of opening each one.

  • Check the bell once an hour during active campaigns. That's usually the right cadence; more is anxious, less can cost you a quick win.
