How does AI Creator Discovery work?

Written by Abid

AI Creator Discovery (sometimes called AI Smart Discovery) is how you find creators on Scoop without scrolling through endless profiles. You describe who you're looking for in plain language, layer on a few filters, and Scoop returns a ranked list of creators that match.

It's built to feel like talking to a creator marketing manager who knows every active creator on Instagram and TikTok.

Writing a Discovery prompt

In the search bar, type what you want in your own words. For example:

  • "Plant-based food creators in the UK with engaged audiences in their twenties"

  • "Gen Z gamers on TikTok who post product reviews"

  • "Skincare creators with under 100k followers who already work with clean beauty brands"

You don't need to be precise. Scoop interprets the prompt, picks up vertical, geography, audience age, and content style, and converts it into a search across creator marketplaces on Instagram and TikTok.

Layering on filters

Below the prompt you can tighten the search with structured filters:

  • Platform. Instagram or TikTok

  • Audience country. Where most of the creator's followers are based

  • Follower range. Minimum and maximum follower count

  • Audience age and gender. Demographic split of the creator's audience

  • Content fit. How closely a creator's content needs to match your project description

Filters and the prompt work together. Use the prompt for nuance and intent, and filters for hard constraints like "must have at least 50,000 followers in Germany".

Reviewing results

Each result includes:

  • A profile photo, bio, and follower count

  • Platform badges

  • Brand fit, content fit, and product fit scores

  • A snapshot of audience demographics

  • The creator's most recent posts so you can sense-check the style

Click any creator to open the full profile drawer. From there you can take notes, attach labels, or shortlist them into your project.

Shortlisting

When a creator looks promising, click Shortlist. Shortlisted creators move into your project's shortlist tab and are queued up for the next steps: outreach, deal creation, or further review.

You can shortlist creators one at a time or select several from the results grid and shortlist them in bulk.

Find more like this

Already happy with what you've found but want to widen the net? Click Find more to deepen the same search. Scoop runs another pass with broader interpretation of your prompt to surface adjacent creators you might have missed.

Lookalikes

If you've found one or two creators you really like, use Lookalikes to find creators similar to them. You can seed up to five creators as the reference set, and Scoop returns profiles with comparable audience composition, content style, and posting cadence.

Lookalikes are great for scaling up after a successful test, or for finding more creators in a niche where good prompts are hard to write.

Search limits

Each plan includes a monthly Discovery search count. You'll see how many searches you have left in your account settings. Find more and Lookalikes each count as a new search, so plan your prompts before clicking. If you hit your limit and need more, contact our team about upgrading.

Tips for better results

  • Mention the platform if it matters to you, otherwise Scoop searches both

  • Give an audience signal (country, age, or interest) rather than just "popular creators"

  • Lean on filters for hard limits rather than crowding the prompt with numbers

  • Save creators you like into folders so you can run lookalikes off them later
