Can I upload my own list of creators?

Yes. If you've already built a list of creators in a spreadsheet or sourced them from another tool, you can bring them straight into Scoop using the Import your own data option. You can also export creators from Scoop as a CSV.

Here's how it works.

Four ways to add creators

When you click Add Creators inside a project, Scoop asks how you'd like to find them. The four options are:

  • Choose from folder. Pick creators from an existing folder or a list you've already saved in your Scoop account inside creator list.

  • AI Discovery. Let Scoop's AI suggest creators based on your brand profile and preferences.

  • Import your own data. Upload a CSV of creators you've sourced externally.

  • Publish link. Generate a unique link for creators to apply directly to your project.

Select Import your own data to proceed with a CSV upload.

What the file should contain

Scoop needs one column to identify each creator:

  • An Instagram handle (with or without the @)

  • An Instagram profile URL

  • A TikTok handle

  • A TikTok profile URL

You'll select the platform during the upload step, so keep Instagram and TikTok creators in separate files — the process is identical for both, just run it once per platform.

You can optionally include an email column. Scoop will ask you to map it during upload, but it isn't required to proceed.

Step-by-step upload

  1. Open the project where you want to add the creators and click Add Creators.

  2. Select Import your own data.

  3. Upload your CSV file.

  4. In the Map CSV Columns modal:

    • Select the Platform — Instagram or TikTok

    • Check My list has column headers if your file has a header row

    • Map the Creator Username / URL column (required)

    • Map the Creator Email column (optional)

  5. Click Import Creators to confirm.

What happens after upload

Scoop fetches basic profile information for each creator — profile photo, bio, follower count, and recent posts. This may take a few moments for larger lists.

If a creator already exists in Scoop (for example, if a teammate added them previously), Scoop will detect the match and link your upload to the existing record so nothing gets duplicated.

Using the imported creators

Once the upload finishes, the creators behave exactly like any others in Scoop. You can:

  • Shortlist them into a project

  • Open their profile to take notes or attach labels

  • Send outreach individually or in bulk

  • Use them as the seed set for a lookalike search in AI Discovery

Exporting creators

You can also export creators from Scoop to a CSV. From any creator list view inside a project, click the export icon at the top right of the list. This is useful when you want to share a shortlist with someone outside Scoop or keep a backup of your sourcing work.

Tips

  • Clean up obvious typos before uploading — invalid handles take longer to retry than to fix upfront

  • If you have creators on both Instagram and TikTok, upload them as two separate CSVs, one per platform

  • Make sure your project description and audience details are filled in so Scoop has enough context to analyse the creators you bring in
