What happens to my data?

Written by Abid

Whether you're a brand running campaigns or a creator working on deals, here's a plain-English overview of what data Scoop stores, who can see it, and what you can do with it.

For brands

When you use Scoop, your workspace contains:

  • Campaign data — your briefs, target criteria, budgets, and timelines

  • Creator lists — the people you've invited, applied to your campaigns, or saved for future projects

  • Drafts and approved content — files creators share with you, including videos, images, and captions

  • Deal terms and history — what you offered, what was accepted, and the full back-and-forth

  • Payment records — what you owe, what you've marked as paid, and milestone progress

  • Reporting and analytics — engagement, reach, and any tracked links or conversions

All of this is accessible to your team only. Other brands on Scoop can't see your workspace, your creator relationships, or your campaign data.

For creators

When you respond to a deal or apply through a Public Invite Link, the following is stored:

  • Profile data — your handle, name, contact details, and public stats from connected social accounts

  • Deal history — the brands you've worked with through Scoop and the terms of each deal

  • Drafts — content you've uploaded for review

  • Payment status — what's owed and what's been paid

  • Communication — messages exchanged with brands through the Deal Thread

This information is accessible to the brand that invited you for the duration of your work together. It is not shared with other brands on Scoop. Each brand sees only the deals and content involving them.

How we keep your data safe

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest — data is encrypted while moving between your device and our servers, and when stored in our systems

  • Access controls — only authorized members of your team or the inviting brand can see your data

  • Audit logs — sensitive actions are logged so we can investigate if something goes wrong

We work with reputable infrastructure providers and follow standard security practices.

What we don't do with your data

  • We don't sell your data — not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else

  • We don't share your data with third parties for marketing purposes

  • We don't use creator content for our own promotion without permission

Data export

You can request a copy of your data at any time:

  • Brands can export campaign data, creator lists, and reporting from within the workspace

  • Creators can request an export of their profile, deal history, drafts, and payment records by contacting support

We provide exports in standard formats so you can keep your records or take them with you.

Data deletion

You can also request that we delete your data. Contact support and we'll walk through it with you. There are some records — for example, financial transactions — that we may need to retain for a limited time to comply with accounting and legal obligations, but anything beyond that gets removed.

Third-party connections

When you connect Instagram, TikTok, or Shopify, those platforms have their own terms and privacy policies. We only request the permissions we actually need to do the work — verify posts, pull engagement stats, deliver discount codes — and you can revoke access from the source platform at any time.
