What happens if a creator doesn't deliver?

Written by Abid

If a Creator misses deadlines or does not publish after accepting, the brand can flag the Deal. Scoop tracks delivery status, so unfulfilled Deals show up clearly and brands can decide whether to extend, cancel, or follow up.

Catching it early

Every Deal has its current state visible in the Project β€” Draft Pending, Awaiting Approval, Live, or Verified. If a Creator goes quiet, you will see the Deal sitting at the same stage past its due date and you can act on it without hunting.

What the brand can do

A few options when a Deal is overdue:

  • Send a polite nudge inside the Deal Thread β€” most Creators come back with a heads up about a delay

  • Extend the deadline if there is a good reason and the campaign timing allows it

  • Cancel the Deal if the Creator is unresponsive and you need to move on

  • Withhold payment on cash Deals that were not completed β€” payment is tied to verified delivery

For barter Deals where free product has already shipped, the brand can flag the Creator in their internal records so future invitations are reconsidered.

If a Creator pattern looks systemic, reach out to support and we can look into it together.
