The most common reason a Deal does not update after you publish is that the post used a regular @mention instead of Instagram's Collaborator feature. Scoop's automatic check looks for the Collaborator credit specifically.
Likely cause
On Instagram, a Collaborator credit is different from tagging the brand in the caption or in the photo. With Collaborators, both your handle and the brand's handle appear at the top of the post and the post shows up on the brand's grid. That is what our verification system is looking for. A regular @mention in the caption does not create a credit, so the automated check does not find it.
For TikTok, the verification looks for the brand's exact handle in your caption. A small typo or a different version of the handle (with an extra dot, for example) will cause the check to miss it.
How to fix it
For Instagram:
Open the post on Instagram and edit it
Add the brand as a Collaborator and invite them
Once they accept, both handles appear at the top of the post and the Deal will pick it up
If you cannot edit the post or add a Collaborator, ask the brand to manually verify the post in the Deal Thread
For TikTok:
Check the caption against the brand handle listed in your Deal brief
Edit the caption if there is a mismatch
If TikTok will not let you edit the caption, message the brand for manual verification
When to contact support
If you have added the Collaborator credit (or fixed the caption) and the Deal still has not updated after a few hours, start a chat with Scoop support and share the Deal name and the post link.
